Holidays

As the year is just beginning and we’ve just finished digesting Christmas dinner, I suggest you take a look at the fun part of the coming year: the holidays

I don’t know about you but personally, the January recovery is always a bit difficult. It’s cold, it’s ugly (well, that’s common in Paris, I know..), the parties are over and abandoned Christmas trees are piling up in the streets. In short, it’s not all that happy πŸ˜•.

So, I think it’s the perfect time to think about the next vacation and organize all that. First, because it allows you to project yourself into these pleasant moments to come and especially because the earlier you start, the more possible choices you have. Not to mention the savings made by booking plane tickets and accommodation in advance.

So this year, I suggest you plan your holidays in January (it also works a little later of course πŸ˜‰) to be quiet the rest of the year and above all to make the most of your holidays since you will have already planned everything in advance. ‘advanceπŸ€—

We plan the dates (approximately)

First of all, we will have to decide when we are leaving . This is the first step since depending on the period, some destinations will be more favorable than others.

You can take an annual calendar or your calendar application (at home, it’s with Google Calendar that I manage it) and see the availabilities you have to leave.

Do not forget to take into account the constraints at the level of your work and that of your spouse if you are two to go, not to mention the school holidays if you have school-going children πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦.

You can also try to optimize your days off by placing your vacation on weeks that include public holidays (ah the month of May 😁)

If you haven’t already done so, also remember to note the events of the year already planned and which could block you for your holidays (weddings πŸ‘°, baptisms, family reunions, etc.).

Once you have taken into account your professional and family constraints, it is up to you to choose the available beaches on which you could leave. It can range from a simple weekend trip to a full month’s trip. The important thing is to be clear about the periods when it is possible for you , even if you have to adjust a few days later.

We choose the destination

Now that you know approximately when you can leave, it’s time to choose where 😊!

Here you have to take into account several criteria to decide:

Your desires

This is a criterion that may seem obvious, but I prefer to mention it anyway πŸ˜….

Do you rather want a quiet holiday by the water β›±? Are you more into high mountain hiking πŸ•? Exotic landscapes or rather European capitals πŸ™?

It’s up to you to target the type of vacation you want to spend and choose the destination accordingly .

For example, if you absolutely want to go to the sun in summer, Norway may not be the best possible destination. And likewise, if you resist the heat rather badly,

Your available time

The time you have to go on vacation will be another very important criterion for making your choice.

If you have a long weekend ahead of you, it seems a bit ambitious to go and spend it in Bali (well, unless you live in Jakarta of course, but if you’re in France, it might take a bit of a trip long
